Unfortunately, whether as a result of accident, error, or deliberate deception, the actual finished product does not conform to the purchase specification or the Material Test Certificates. This is particularly true in the area of alloy composition, since it has been traditionally difficult to identify materials by non-destructive methods.
HTS employs a portable alloy analyzer that can identify more than 400 commonly used alloys by type or name. By means of an X-Ray Cathode, the analyzer determines the concentration of twenty-one critical elements with precision ranging from .01% to .5%.
